What’s Your Favorite Quote and Why?

What’s Your Favorite Quote and Why?

What is your favorite quote and why?

That is a writing prompt from the WordPress Bloganuary prompt. It is today’s prompt, January 22, 2022. I just found out about the bloganuary thing yesterday. A little late to the party, but hey, I’m here now.

I thought, why not? I have not been writing as much as usual and thought this would be a good way to get back into it.

So, what is my favorite quote? It’s so interesting this is today’s prompt because I have really been into Henry Ford quotes.

I just finished up and became certified in a Health Coach Mindset Course. It was one of the best courses I have ever taken. It really opened my eyes up to how important mindset is in every single day life, not just sometimes life.

Henry Ford was an American industrialist who revolutionized factory production with his assembly-line methods. I did some quick research and it sounds like he was also kind of a dick.

But, I’m here for the quotes. His quotes very much promote a growth mindset. What is a growth mindset? Growth mindset if all about your beliefs. Belief that you can achieve something. Belief that you can learn new things. Believe that you can change.

These quotes speak right to that. In fact, I just used this one today for a podcast I recorded that will be released in a few weeks.

“Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice.”

Putting in the work and the effort to learn. That is what I see in this quote. I love it because it shows a person that in order to accomplish something, they must put in the work, they must learn the thing, and then they reap the benefit of it.

I just love that.  Nobody is doing the work for them. Nobody is coming to save them. They are taking action and figuring out how to succeed and believing they can.

I talk health and fitness all the time, but this can also spill over into your every day life.  The paths definitely cross. It’s not just health or fitness. It’s not just life. Everything is connected and everything intersects.

Keep learning new things. Keep challenging yourself. Keep going.
